NEPMA WDI Certification 2027

NEPMA’s Wood-Destroying Insect (WDI) Certification and Registration Program provides pest management and real estate inspection professionals with the knowledge and credentials needed to conduct WDI inspections and recommend treatment options.

This comprehensive 1.5-day training covers the biology, behavior, and identification of wood-destroying insects; legal responsibilities associated with WDI inspections; and proper completion of the NPMA-33 Wood Destroying Insect Inspection Report. Participants will also learn key inspection considerations and reporting practices relevant to real estate transactions.

The program includes 12 hours of classroom instruction, a comprehensive training manual authored by Dr. George Rambo, and a written registration exam. Professionals who successfully pass the exam will receive a certificate of completion and be added to the NEPMA WDI Registry. WDI registration is valid for three years.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for pest management professionals and other real estate inspection professionals seeking initial WDI certification. Professionals whose WDI registration is due for renewal should register for the separate WDI Recertification course.
